Swing, Miss. Home Run.The photograph was worn at the edges and felt, for the first time in his memory, thin. Flipping it over, he read the back; July 4, 1945.   
And he remembered.

It was a bright, sunny Independence Day that year; it was perfect in almost every way. People chattered loudly from sidewalks, backyards, front yards, porches, from inside parlors and even in the park across from the City Hall where a long line of recent high school graduates stood, open, white envelopes held crumpled in their hands or folded in their pockets.  
 
Everyone was celebrating in their own ways, and in former high school ba Swing, Miss. Home Run.

Creation of the ToadShe screamed from the pain. But she couldn't give in. She had been tricked; what she signed up for was supposed to be a survey on ‘common’ people’s feelings towards how things have been going lately.   
"Now, tell us again. Isn't this institution doing everything correctly and doing its best to protect those under its jurisdiction?"   
The pain was suddenly gone, leaving her mind in a fog. She was still lucid enough to form a sentence; "No... this Ministry is vile and corrupt... and this... proves it."

You meet them at a young age; still in the midst of childhood when it didn’t matter if two different were friends and the foreign concept of love was never mentioned. The two of you grow up together, thick as thieves, gaining and loosing friends on the side.
